The Color Run Barcelona
Last weekend saw the start in Barcelona of ‘The Color Run’ experience, an initiative by the clothing brand Desigual. This race, if you can call it that, was born in 2012 in around 50 cities, and by 2013 it had already passed the 200-city mark. It’s a 5km course where fun, colour and music are the main attractions. The twist is that at every kilometre you get ‘showered’ in a different colour, until you end up looking like a colour chart.
I stationed myself at km 4, where the colour was green, and waited for the runners to arrive. To be honest it’s a really fun event, and people go along to have a good time, with no intention of competing.
With fourteen thousand participants, The Color Run Barcelona wrapped up its first edition in the city.
