Imprify, a photo book app | Barcelona

Sant Jordi (23 April, when people in Catalonia give each other books and roses) is almost here, and we’ve got a brilliant idea for a book to give as a present: a photo album of your best moments with Imprify! 🙂

What is Imprify?

It’s an app developed in Barcelona that lets you create a small 18 x 18 cm photo album. You can download it on your Apple mobile device or on Android.

It’s really easy to use and very versatile, as it lets you pick photos from your camera roll, Dropbox, Instagram or other social networks.

Here’s how it works:

1.- Choose the pictures you like best by tapping on them, and they’ll appear at the bottom of the screen. By default you can choose 22 photos (the minimum), but you can go up to a maximum of 34 if you like, for an extra €6.

2.- Choose the order they go in by pressing on the photo you want to move and dragging it. Once everything is in the order you want, tap ‘Siguiente’ (Next).

3.- A random cover is put together, and it’s shaped like a Barcelona pavement tile!! 🙂 If you like, you can change the photos by pressing the ‘Cambiar Portada’ (Change Cover) button. Then you select the photo you want to change and tap the new one in the list of photos.

4.- To add a title or other text throughout the book, swipe the pages to the left. On the first page you can add a title by pressing on the text ‘TÍTULO DEL ÁLBUM’ (ALBUM TITLE), and on the rest you can add a short caption under each photo by pressing the ‘edición’ (edit) icon. On the last page of the book you can add a longer paragraph if you feel like it. Then tap ‘Siguiente’ (Next).

5.- You reach the payment page. For a 22-page book the price is €19.90 + €4 shipping. If you go for the 34-photo one, it’s €6 extra (€25.90 + €4 shipping). To be honest, I was very pleasantly surprised by the finish, and the quality is pretty decent considering that most of them are photos taken on a mobile and, if you rescue them from social networks, they’re usually compressed as well.
