La Bodegueta Provença
La Bodegueta Provença is a restaurant for enjoying excellent sharing plates and good-quality wine in a thoroughly Barcelona atmosphere. The place is no more than 2 years old and, with its modern style, tries to keep a few touches of an old Catalan bodega.
I’d recommend the scrambled eggs with foie gras, the salt cod esqueixada (a shredded salt cod salad), the sirloin montadito (a small open sandwich) with melted cheese and the tuna belly! And now they have some exquisite little tapas, such as the ‘coca de sardina fumada’ (smoked sardine coca, a Catalan flatbread) or the ‘aletes de pollastre cruixent’ (crispy chicken wings). And if you’ve still got room, the recuit (a fresh Catalan curd cheese) is finger-licking good. Bon profit! (Enjoy your meal!)
